Synopsis

Umitsuri ni Ikou! is a simple fishing simulator in which you control a little boy in various seaside locations: a pier, a beach, a stone outcrop, and the ocean.

When you catch a fish, a bar moves up and down on the right side of the screen. When you press the A button, the bar stops. The distance your line travels depends on the height of the bar when you pressed the A button. Larger fish hide further away, but are more difficult to catch given their distance from the shore.

Once your hook is in the water, you will be treated to a view of it in the brine. The water in the background is represented by different gradients so the player can tell whether it is moving up or down. A meter on the right of the screen indicates how deep you are, the further you cast, the deeper you will be.
