Synopsis

VR Baseball 99 contains all 30 major league baseball teams and stadiums. Each team is made up of the 1998 Opening Day squad. Game modes include exhibition, season, and home run derby. Options include: three difficulty levels, pitch speed, arcade or simulation hitting, field assist, number of innings, DH, errors, injuries and playing time (day, night, dusk, overcast or random). Season mode offers a variety of options and stats, including star voting. Leaving a thrower too long, colliding with a wall or another player, or a bad slide can all lead to injury. In the event of an injury, the player is placed on the rest days list or the disabled list. When the ball is moving, the camera moves to the best viewing position. Instant replay is available after every play with a wide range of camera angles. VR Baseball 99 requires five blocks of memory to save a game during the season.
