Synopsis

The first installment in the Warlords series. Your mission is essentially to dominate the world. This game can be played by up to 8 people on the same machine. It is a medieval-style strategy game in which the player must control 80 cities in the kingdom of Illuria. To do this, you must eliminate your 7 opponents.

Gold is accumulated through the ownership of cities. The gold is then used to create armies. Heroes can sometimes "find" items or be rewarded by sages (there are only two and it's first come, first served). You can choose between different human and non-human peoples, as well as the all-powerful evil Warlord. This is a very early version of what strategy games have become.
