Synopsis

Wipeout 3: Special Edition was released exclusively in Europe on July 14, 2000. It features many minor gameplay changes, such as the physics of different ships, autoloading of saves, unlock messages, and bug fixes. This special edition also adds eight playable races from previous Wipeouts (three from Wipeout and five from Wipeout 2097), as well as two hidden prototype tracks that were previously only available in the Japanese version of Wipeout 3, making a total of 22 tracks compared to the 12 in the standard edition.

Wipeout 3: Special Edition also contains multiplayer for up to four people, using two TVs and two PlayStation consoles connected to the PlayStation Link cable. Wipeout 3: Special Edition was the final game in the Wipeout series for PlayStation.
